Recruitment - broadcast |
 |
Advertising a job on the internet
and in print relies on people positively searching for a job
to find your vacancy. If you use radio advertising, then all
the listenership will hear the advert, whether they are seeking
work or not.
National radio advertising is usually only within the realms
of larger companies. Small and medium sized firms should investigate
their local radio stations, whether BBC or independent. Many
will have a "jobspot" where you can inform the listeners
of vacancies for no cost. Some of these, though, only draw their
information from the local JobCentre. If you have a major recruitment
drive in a particular area, you could consider paying for on-air
advertisining space. You could write some of the cost of the
recruitment advertising to your general advertising budget by
making the commercial fulfill a general publicity need as well.
